BYU Grad Student Earns Young Scientist Award

BYU PhD candidate Sara Soleimani received the Young Scientist award at the 71st American Crystallographic Association summer conference, held virtually this year July 30 – August 5. This honor is part of the Margaret C. Etter Student Lecturer awards and winners are selected by elected officers of the Scientific Interest Group.
Soleimani earned a cash award and the opportunity to present a lecture in the General Interest session of the conference for her paper titled, “The TELSAM Protein Polymer Significantly Improves the Speed of Crystallization of Target Proteins.
