OREM, UTAH—22 October 2010—Aribex, Inc., a world leader in handheld x-ray technologies, was ranked #28 by the MountainWest Capital Network (MWCN) in the “Utah 100” , an award honoring the 100 fastest growing companies in the state. The award was presented at the 15th annual Utah 100 Awards Program held today at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City. Aribex founder and CEO Dr. Clark Turner, who received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in analytical chemistry from Brigham Young University in Provo, accepted the award in behalf of his company.

“We’re proud and happy to be ranked among the most successful business in our state,” said Dr. Turner. “It is a testament to our company’s vision, talent, focus, and determination.”

Utah Governor Gary Herbert was on hand to congratulate those recognized.

"These companies were able to achieve incredible results during very difficult time,” said Steven Stauffer, Chairman of the Utah 100 Program and an MWCN officer. “We have a strong entrepreneurial spirit here.”

Aribex was founded in 2003 as an answer to the need for a truly portable, lightweight dental x-ray system. The result was the NOMAD Handheld X-ray System. Unlike the bulky wall-mount systems dentists traditionally used, NOMAD can go anywhere. Today NOMAD devices are used in the finest professional offices and provide access to care in the most remote humanitarian clinics. Additionally, NOMAD products have received numerous accolades in the forensic and veterinary fields.

Every year MWCN recognizes the 100 fastest growing companies in Utah, selected from thousands of eligible applicants throughout the state and represent a cross-section from all industries including those in information technology, biomedical, biotechnical, healthcare, retail, construction and financial services. The Utah 100 is determined by the percentage of revenue increases from 2005 through 2009.

Winners were also announced in the November issue of Utah CEO Magazine as well as through the event’s radio sponsors KUER and KALL.
